  • 1918 - Leon S. Chmielewski opens Chmielewski Bakery at age 27 with his wife Mieczyslawa Wolentarska.
  • WWII - Oldest son Edward and wife Irene run bakery along with brothers Henry, Arthur, and Edwin
  • 1954 - Leon passes away
  • 1980 - After 62 years, the family retired and sold the bakery
  • 1981 - Luigi's Family bakery opens for a few years before closing. MELISSA FOODS INC is listed as the property owner.
  • 1984 - Owner is listed as Frank Albanese
  • 2004 - Owner is listed as Arsenio A. Vargas.
  • Last tenant - Michelle's Bakery
