Gothic church built from St. Lawrence granite

Current Condition

Steeple was removed. Interior condition and current use unknown.

History

  • 1884 - Catholic Diocese purchases property
  • 1887 - Parish established
  • 1904 - Church designed by architects Cyrus K. Porter & Son
  • July 3, 1904 - Church cornerstone laid. Construction cost $70,000 and opened July 10,1905.
  • 1914 - The current school building constructed
  • 1958 - The school building is expanded
  • June 1990 - The school closes
  • 2006 - Diocese closes the church

  • 2009 - School and church purchased for combined $130,000.
  • Around 2009 - Steeple removed.
