Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • January 2017 - DF Fusions Investments LLC plans to raze portions of the current Keystone Corp. plant for a $30 million apartment project. The parcel extends from 2929 to 2939 Main, and the announced plan is to demolish three rear structures while keeping the two closest to Main Street for the apartments. 'Keystone, a metal fabrication shop, is believed to be moving to different Buffalo site once all the city approvals for the apartments have been finalized.' Business First
  • The reasons for demolition of rear structures is listed, in part, as "large amounts of lead paint that made the reuse and redevelopment of certain structures economically and physically unfeasible," however as with any demolition plan, it still requires that "crews will first remove any asbestos, lead paint and other contaminants from the interior of the buildings, before taking them down."
