Physical Description

Multiple commercial buildings making up an entire block bounded by Washington, North and South Division, and Ellicott streets.
317 Washington Street was a 7 story brick building on the corner of Washington and South Division. It is next to 48 South Division, Ellicott Square Liquors, in the second photo. The street car shown is the #4 Broadway, which post-WWI traversed portions of Division, Ellicott, and Washington before carrying down Broadway.

Current Condition

Demolished. Three city blocks were demolished, along with Shelton Square, as part of Urban Renewal and the expansion/curvature of North and South Division Street into Church Street. The parcel is now a strip of trees used as a pocket park between excessively large one way streets.
