History

  • Built in 1888.
  • Long time location of Stritzinger's saloon
  • Per Chris Hawley: "The building was the location, at various times, of a saloon, shoe store, speakeasy, billiard hall, barber shop, and heating contractor business. Hariton Blocha's "soft drink" establishment in the 1920s was, like hundreds of others in Buffalo, almost certainly a front for an alcohol-serving speakeasy, this one likely catering to railroad workers who once plied away along the iron rails and in the car repair shops of the Hydraulics."

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • 2014 - Being rehabilitated by Mill Race Commons, LLC.
