Physical Description

4 story building, originally accommodating 400 guests along with first floor retail, and now contains 33 apartments that are accessed from three stairwells off of W. Ferry.

Current Condition

Restored 2012. The cornice and first floor retail spaces were not re-installed.

History

  • 1896 - Built in anticipation of accommodating guests attending the Pan Am Exposition in 1901.

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • October 2011 - Purchased for $700,000 by Nick Sinatra
  • August 2012 - Work by Lamparelli Construction began on architect Tommaso Briatico's $2.3 million design for a renovation mix of commercial and upscale residential at the Fenton Hotel and 1526 Main.
    • The status of 1524 Main Street had yet to be determined, but it has since also been rehabbed.
