This building is in good condition and has been extensively renovated.

History

  • Constructed in 1876, Asbury United Methodist Church was the last and perhaps most important commission realized by architect John H. Selkirk.

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • 1999 - The church was purchased by recording artist Ani DiFranco and her manager Scott Fisher
  • 2006 - The completion of an $8 million restoration allowed the building to serve as the headquarters of Righteous Babe Records and Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center.
