  • Six story, 100,000 sq.ft. Romanesque Revival styled brick building. 65 feet wide and 236 feet deep.

Undergoing renovation (2018)

History

  • Designed by Lansing and Beierl.
  • Built between 1892 and 1894 for horses.
  • Originally built with long ramps but modified with steeper ramps for cars in the 1920s.

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • Oct 2012 - "Croce says he has a 'high profile commercial tenant for the top two floors of the building.'" - Buffalo Rising Oct 2012
  • May 2013 - Croce says $12 million project will be office, parking and residential if commercial tenant signs, otherwise it will be all residential
  • July 2017 - Buffalo Rising reports that the Buffalo Public School Emerson School of Hospitality will open a second location at this site.
  • July 19, 2017 - 'The Buffalo Urban Development Corp. is recommending a loan of $750,000 for McGuire Development Co. a project73-75 W. Huron St. McGuire plans to spend $30.45 million on an adaptive reuse of the historic C.W. Miller Livery building into the Buffalo Public Hospitality School, which would train 500 high school students in hospitality fields.' Buffalo News
  • October 2018 - "The 80,000 sq.ft. school will complement the existing Emerson School on W. Chippewa Street, creating an easily accessible urban campus for students and faculty. The two locations will not be physically connected. Work is expected to be finished next fall with classes starting in January 2020." Buffalo Rising
