Review of application for the Trico Plant #1 for landmark consideration.

C. Communications
4. Senior Planner Position for the BPB
Chairperson Paul McDonnell sent a letter to the Executive Director of the Office
of Strategic Planning asking that the position of Senior Planner for the Buffalo
Preservation Board be filled as soon as possible.

D. Certificate Activity - Board Action Required
5. 540 Delaware Ave.
Proposal to construct a ground sign (4' x 4') at the corner of Delaware and Allen
Street. Sign will replace existing temporary sign. Application received 3/14/2013.

Remove deteriorated roofing materials from structure; Install #15,felt, ice &
water shield, metal edging, flashings & ridge vents, where required; Re-roof
with Pewter Grey 30 year architectural style asphalt shingles to match existing
in-kind; Install new Yankee gutters to match in-kind; Replace any deteriorated
fascia boards where necessary.

Remove deteriorated roofing materials from structure; Install #15,felt, ice &
water shield, metal edging, flashings & ridge vents, where required; Re-roof
with Grey 30 year architectural style asphalt shingles to match existing in-kind;
Install white aluminum gutters to match in-kind; Replace any deteriorated fascia
boards where necessary.

with Pinnacle 30 year architectural style asphalt shingles to match existing in-

water shield, metal edging, flashings & ridge vents, where required; Re-roof
with Red 30 year architectural style asphalt shingles to match existing in-kind;
Reuse aluminum gutters to match in-kind; Replace any deteriorated fascia
boards where necessary.

10. 495 Paderewski Dr. INFORMATIONAL
Remove deteriorated roofing materials from structure; Install a Durlast PVC
system where required to replace granulated torched down system; No
historically significant materials are being removed; The object is to prevent
further water damage.

11. 196 Linwood Ave. INFORMATIONAL
Remove deteriorated roofing materials from structure; Install #15,felt, ice &
water shield, metal edging, flashings & ridge vents, where required; Re-roof
18SF of roofing with Black 30 year architectural style asphalt shingles to match
existing in-kind; Reuse aluminum gutters to match in-kind; Replace any
deteriorated fascia boards where necessary.

F. Old Business
12. Linwood Preservation District
TABLED - UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: PBN needs financing to extend the
district to Delavan. TABLED: Board members are seeking assistance for
someone to help put the nomination package together:(Hearing for 7/26/12 was
postponed). [In order to protect the buildings along Main Street(1524 & 1526)
and West Ferry (925,936, & 945) the Linwood Preservation District would need
to be extended to include these addresses].

G. New Business
13. 414 Parkside Ave. (Police Radio Annex) INFORMATIONAL
Applicant is providing the board with a cursory review of this $200,000 project
at 414 Parkside Avenue as it is not in the historic preservation district.

14. Central Terminal INFORMATIONAL
Applicant will update board members on the current roofing project and future
projects for this landmark.

15. 3292 Main St.

DEMOLITION: Due to the current code violations and subsequent court

proceedings related to this property. Application received 3/14/2013. Also note
a application for this project was also submitted by Hannah Demolition on
3/13/2013.
