Property Search

Erie County maintains the property database for the entire county, including the City of Buffalo. City databases are subsets or exports of the primary County database.

The most complete records can be accessed from this search page at the County website:

Sometimes you can get further information from a friendly Council staffperson or another City Hall staffer.

To search for information on a corporation, such as an LLC, go to NYS Sec of State:

http://www.dos.ny.gov/corps/bus_entity_search.html

The corporation searches can be tricky, but you can usually find an active or inactive corporation with a little diligence. Of course, most LLCs have addresses in law offices, so that's not very helpful.
