History

  • One of the oldest standing homes in all of Buffalo, it was constructed some time between 1815-1818.
  • It was moved from its original location on Swan and Pearl Streets in 1867, which was not an easy task at the time.
  • It was slated for demolition before it was saved by the Landmark society and sold to private owners who began restoration. It was placed on the market again in 1999 and is now slated to be fully restored in order to become a house museum.

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • Purchased in 1999 by the Allentown Association who plans to restore it and and create a house museum.
