History

  • Built ca. 1880.
  • Demolished 1960.
  • Built for the Niagara Falls Brewing Company, makers of Spray Beer.
  • Was the Byrne Warehouse.
  • Occupied by the Certo Brothers beer distributing company from the 1940s through 1959.
  • Peterjoe Certo: "It was a great stone building on the Niagara Gorge. Beer was stored in basement, naturally cooled by the river water against the walls, and brought up and down by conveyor."
