"This property served as the Chopin Singing Society’s home for over sixty years until the 1990s. It is the place where Buffalo’s modern Dyngus Day celebrations were born." Broadway Fillmore Alive

  • April 3, 1961 - Ted Mikoll, his wife, Ann, and his brother, Jim, organize the first modern Dyngus Day celebration at the Chopin Singing Society at 18 Kosciusko St. The party brought together a public swieconka, dancing, polka music, and beer. Historic Polonia Preservation District

  • October 2013 - Purchased at auction for $10,000 by bidder KHALID SHEIKH for owner ZUBEER SHEIKH as 12K HOLDINGS LLC
  • April 2, 2014 - On Dyngus Day, the building was demolished.
