History
- 1917 - Built as St. Margaret's church
- 1957 - Current church was constructed next door, converting original building into a school
- 1967 - School building received an addition fronting Hertel
- 1980s - Elementary school (pre-K through 8) had peak enrollment of 600 students
Recent Events and Actions Taken
- 2012 - School closed with an enrollment below 100 students.
- 2013 - Iskalo Development has the school building under contract
- November 2014 - Iskalo Development announces $5.4 million plan to convert the former school into 23 market-rate apartments and nearly 2,000 sq.ft. of commercial space.
- December 4, 2014 - Iskalo will be meeting with the ECIDA's policy committee to review the project. The ECIDA board votes on the project Dec. 17.
- November 30, 2015 - The Buffalo Planning Board accepted an environmental impact statement related to the project.
- December 14, 2015 - 'Pending a final sign off from the Buffalo Planning Board, which is expected during its Dec. 14 meeting, work could begin this winter.' Business First
