History
- 1911 - The school was formed as Pickering Vocational High School.
- 1926 - The Sycamore Street building was constructed.
- The school was later be renamed for former Buffalo Superintendent George Emerson.
Recent Events and Actions Taken
- 2005 - Emerson High closes, but retains a satellite on Chippewa Street.
- Renovations performed after the school closed
- Now used as the Harvey Austin Elementary School
