Physical Description

  • Ornate three story 19,328 sq.ft. Italianate brick commercial building, with a two story brick building in the back. (Possibly 14k sq.ft. building with 5k sq.ft. garage)
  • On the front, it had a small vestibule front door, which was later expanded to an open porch with 2nd floor balcony, before the larger porch was then enclosed. A two story brick addition in the rear also came early on, but after original construction.
  • An Erie County Historical Resource survey sited its balcony, cupola, decorative cornices, arched windows, corbelled chimneys, stone sills, pediment over the central projecting bay, and stone basement.

Current Condition

In use, it appears fairly original on the exterior, but the original wood windows have been lost, and the front porch has been negatively altered. Interior condition unknown. The brick had been painted blue at some point, but fortunately it was removed or wore off. Building could use a restoration.
