Physical Description

An entire city block of brick houses and commercial buildings

Current Condition

All demolished in 1963. Later replaced by one large non-descript suburban building (Horizons Plaza, home to WNED and WBFO studios) in a sea of surface parking.

History

  • 1800s - Henry Street was one of the rights-of-way that led from the Terrace to the Erie Canal.
  • 1963 - Henry Street was wiped off the map by the Waterfront Urban Renewal Project.
