- March 2012 - Purchased along with a parking lot at 1516 Main by Nick Sinatra for $380,000
- August 2012 - Work began on architect Tommaso Briatico's $2.3 million design for a renovation mix of commercial and upscale residential at the Fenton Hotel and 1526 Main. Plan calls for 1526 to be a mix of retail space on the ground floor and eight loft apartments upstairs. 1524 Main Street had been targeted for demolition as part of this original project.
- January 2014- Per the Buffalo news:
- "Ashker’s Juice Bar will be coming to Main and West Ferry streets. The restaurant will go into the ground floor of a commercial building that is being renovated, and will sit next to Fenton Village, market-rate housing that Sinatra has developed on West Ferry."
- April 2014 - Per Buffalo Rising:
- "On the exterior, Sinatra will be repointing some brick, repairing/replacing windows, painting the cornices, and adding new glass/glazing along with an awning to advertise Ashker’s."
- May 2014 - Co-owners Rachael Hughes and Giavana de Zitter have signed a lease for a 1,500 sq.ft. Barre Centric fitness studio, next to the planned Ashkar’s juice bar.
- As part of renovations, ghost signs for E.A. Kingston Drug Store and Coca-Cola have recently been uncovered on the corner of the building.
- October 2014 - Barre Centric fitness studio opens
- November 2014 - Tenants started moving into the eight loft apartments
- January 2015 - Expected opening of Ashkers restaurant
