  • The Rohlfs House was built in 1912 and designed in the Craftsman style by Hudson & Colson. The house is associated with Charles and Anna Katherine Green Rohlfs, noted furniture designer and writer of detective stories, respectively.

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • Designated a local historic landmark on 1987-03-31.
  • Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
  • August 2021 - The Friends of the Rohlfs’ House (FORH) has launched an exciting initiative to acquire and restore the home of Charles Rohlfs and Anna Katharine Green, located in the Allentown section of Buffalo, New York. FORH intends to turn the home into a distinctive house museum--an embodiment of the lives of the two exceptional, pioneering and creative individuals who lived and worked there.
