Gothic church built from St. Lawrence granite
Current Condition
Steeple was removed. Interior condition and current use unknown.
History
- 1884 - Catholic Diocese purchases property
- 1887 - Parish established
- 1904 - Church designed by architects Cyrus K. Porter & Son
- July 3, 1904 - Church cornerstone laid. Construction cost $70,000 and opened July 10,1905.
- 1914 - The current school building constructed
- 1958 - The school building is expanded
- June 1990 - The school closes
- 2006 - Diocese closes the church
Recent Events and Actions Taken
- 2009 - School and church purchased for combined $130,000.
- Around 2009 - Steeple removed.
