Physical Description

  • 2 1/2 story Italianate brick house/commercial building.
  • From a building structure inventory form: "the structure dates from 1878 and is described as 'two-story Italianate Style. Gable roof. Two round arched windows in gable have continuous stone sill. Second floor has round arched window opening and continuous stone sill. 1st floor storefront has cast iron pilasters, transoms, and wood paneled door on right.’”

  • August 2018 - Purchased by Pleasant Grove Baptist Church
  • September 2018 - Pleasant Grove Baptist Church has applied for a demolition permit. No future use for the land was specified in the application.
  • October 2018 - 'A site visit found the main, front building "appears to be in relatively salvageable condition,"' Buffalo News per the Preservation Board, and they have recommended against demolition. Unfortunately, the recommendation is not binding after 30 days.
