Current Condition
- The building is currently in good condition and is in use. At some point, the double stairway was removed and converted into a single covered entrance.
History
- Designed by Architect Samuel H Davis in 1837, it is the third oldest religious building in Buffalo. There are rumors that at one point it was a stop on the Underground Railroad. However, much of its history remains unknown.
Recent Events and Actions Taken
- It is currently still used as a church by the Light of the World Mission, El Bethel Assembly.
Other Pertinent Facts
- It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
- Designated a local landmark on June 12, 2018.
