Current Condition

Renovated into a mixed use occupancy, a combination of residential, office, and commercial use. The exterior renovation included cleaning the existing masonry, and installing new windows and canopies. A rooftop terrace was added. On the interior, the existing masonry was retained.

Recent Events and Actions Taken

  • 2009 - $8 million restoration performed by Savarino Companies and Avalon Development. Redevelopment plans were designed by Silvestri Architects.
  • December 2011 - Lagerhaus 95 opens
  • February 2014 - Cobblestone Historic District, previously just a local designation, becomes certified and obtains access to state/national historic tax credits based on application completed by Preservation Studios for the owners of Iron Works: Sam Savarino, Roger Trettel, Ed Plata, and Dan Mania
