Current Condition

Demolished. Was a vacant lot for two decades until a baseball stadium was built.

History

  • Built 1855
    • Architect Ammi B. Young, Supervising Architect to the United States Treasury Department
  • Remodeled 1885.
  • Served as a post office and court.
  • The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York met here until the creation of the Western District in 1900.
  • The U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York met here from 1900 until 1903.
  • Demolished 1965
