Physical Description

Ornate seven story renaissance revival commercial building with cast iron facade and round transom windows

Current Condition

Demolished. Used as an empty plaza behind the convention center.

History

  • Built in 1887 to supply Buffalo's photographers with supplies. It was also to be a hotel during the Pan American Exposition on 1901.
  • Designed by M. E. Beebe
  • 1976 - Entire city block demolished for brutalist-styled convention center
