- Designed in the Spanish Baroque Revival and Italian Gothic Revival style (BuffaloAH).
Current Condition
- Undergoing renovation.
- Upper part of tower was demolished 10/6/2020.
History
- One of four brick churches in Buffalo designed by Chester Oakley and Albert Schallmo:
- Blessed Trinity RC Church (at PRS) (at BuffaloAH) - 1927
- St. Casimir's RC Church (at BuffaloAH) - 1929
- St. John the Baptist RC Church (at PRS) (at BuffaloAH) - 1927
- St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church/St. Luke's Mission of Mercy (at BuffaloAH) - 1929
- Designated a local landmark October 12, 1978.
Recent Events and Actions Taken
- Unpermitted partial demolition was done 10/6/2020. This was stopped by the timely intervention of Tim Tielman of The Campaign for Greater Buffalo, by order of Buffalo's Commissioner of Permits and Inspections James Comerford.
