Physical Description

Public market covering over 2.5 acres. The centerpiece of the market was a large brick Romanesque Revival market building.

Current Condition

Demolished in the 1960s. Now a parking lot for M&T Bank.

  • 1856 - Market established. The structure commonly seen in photos was constructed in 1867.
