Thirteen-story 140,000 sq.ft. Beaux Arts/Classic Revival tower. Clad in white terra cotta. Octagonal plan.

History

  • Built in 1912 as the local headquarters of the Buffalo General Electric Company.
  • It was built based on utopian reconstructions of the Lighthouse of Alexandria and also on the Electric Tower at the Pan-American Exhibition.
  • Additions were built in 1924 and 1927
